When Mariana reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in joining her team of second shooters, I was honestly taken aback (in a good surprised way). She loved my work and I was so flattered. I had never shot weddings officially, and certainly not paid. When starting my “side hustle”, I answered queries as to what my niche was with “Well, definitely not weddings”. But as that saying goes, “never say ‘never’”. I had a general idea of what a second shooter was and thought, why not. I won’t be the “primary”, therefore there’s not nearly as much pressure. I ended up second shooting 4 weddings with her and each one was unique/challenging in their own ways. There was a lot of learning on my end. But I had fun and felt the love from Mariana and the families with no bridezillas! Yay! These are just a few shots I took throughout the year.
